MEC SHOT - WHERE TECHNOLOGIES INNOVATES

VSA - 2

VSA 2
is a continuous operating grit blasting machine in which abrasive is automatically recovered after impacting the surface. It is powered by only compressed air and needs no electricity. Hence it is suitable for site work. It removes light paint and scale very fast and the removal process is much better than chemical cleaning or wire brushing.

No hazardous gas is produced so the operator is completely safe. It is also fully suitable for finishing, etching, shot peening and surface preparation before coating. A number of abrasives can be used such as metallic grit, glass beads, steel shots, plastic media and walnut shell etc. to meet specific requirements of cleaning and finishing. The impact of blast streams is highly controllable so that the surface is not deformed or damaged. If a galvanized or anodized sheet is painted, the removal of paint can be easily affected without any harm to galvanized / anodized layers.

Mounted on four castor wheels, it can be wheeled to the required site. Instant recovery of dust and abrasive within the gun head ensures pollution free atmosphere. Thus, nearby operations can be performed simultaneously. The machine could be used for:

Local rust removal at spots

  • Grit / shot blasting.
  • Shot peening.
  • Paint removal for aircraft components.
  • Cleaning before and after welding.
  • Surface etching.
